While at the beach celebrating my 30th birthday, I wrote all our names in the sand. I noticed that our initials create the most beautiful word, "T.E.A.M."
We have since adopted T.E.A.M. Inzer as a code word in our house.
It means any of the following: I’ve got your back. You need to chill out. Go us! Don’t forget we’re on the same team. Stop being difficult. We are awesome. I’m here for you.
It’s now used on a regular basis, when Tyler or I need a reminder that we are in this together - that we are fighting the same fight, working towards the same goal. Sometimes one of us will be giving the other a hard time about something obvious, we’ve beat the subject to death and the other will say, “HEY! TEAM INZER!” and we both know it’s time to drop it and move on. It’s a level set.
We also use it when we’ve come through a tough or stressful situation together, usually accompanied by a high five or a hand squeeze. Go Team Inzer! Look at us, doing what needs to be done! It’s a chant. A cheer. A pat on our family back.
It’s a small phrase with big meaning and I hope our children learn the true weight of those two words. We won’t always see eye to eye as individuals, and we will most definitely drive each other crazy at times, but we are a family, a force, love in action, united.
The good and the bad, the hard and the crazy…
Together, we’ve got this.
Go T.E.A.M. Inzer!

You could have also gone with MEAT Inzer or maybe Inzer MEAT. Oh no!
