Crazy Camels

Ok... I wasn't planning to post about the camel experience we had recently at a drive-through zoo, until I saw this picture and felt a little better about the whole situation:
Don't worry! We went home with the same number of people in the car that we started with, but Aliyah did have a close encounter with a crazy camel.

Here is our story: We recently got a new camera that also does video and I really wanted to catch Aliyah's excitement about feeding the animals at this drive-through zoo we found while traveling between KC and Branson, Missouri. She LOVED feeding every furry animal that would pop it's head up to the car window. She would laugh and make sure each animal got something to eat from the bag of feed we purchased from the staff at the zoo. We drove slow and allowed Aliyah to sit with Tyler so that she could help feed the animals while under close supervision.

This was our second loop through the park and since the camels were one of Aliyah's favorites, I wanted to get a video. Tyler tried to move quick and I think he did a pretty good job while I just screamed! There is a lot of nervous laughter too...

Not only did the camel try and eat my toddler, he came after me in the passenger seat, ran after the car, and stopped in front of our car so we couldn't move forward (until after he did his business) What!?!

Aliyah is just fine but I think we will be a little more careful around those ornery camels next time! We all took showers when we got home and sanitized the car *BLAH*

  2. I think you need to send this in somewhere - the Ellen show? Funniest Home Videos? I love it and I agree - I wouldn't have stayed near as calm. Thanks for the great pick-me-up today. - RaLynn Schmidt
