Fa La La La La

Oh my!! My poor blog has been squashed to the bottom of my priority list and I am so overdue for a Inzer Family Christmas post!

It has been a busy, fun, exciting and a fill-up your heart with love and joy Christmas over here!

Grammy and I got together to make felt Christmas trees like we saw on pinterest.com. Success  I think they turned out great and Aliyah had fun decorating it.
Tyler surprised his girls one afternoon and by bringing us all Christmas flowers. So sweet.
Aliyah is at such a fun age to really soak in the magic of Christmas. When we asked Aliyah what she wanted Santa to bring her for Christmas, she would always start with another member of our family and something that she wanted Santa to bring for them,

"Daddy needs a scarf. Everly wants shoes and a blanket. And Mommy needs a skirt. I want a dollhouse and princesses for Alleela."

What a sweet, sweet girl! And of course Santa brought her princesses and a dollhouse. It really didn't matter what was in a box or bag, she was so happy that she had something. She would squeal with each gift we handed her, "For me?!" She was (and continues to be) a wonderful reminder to us what it looks like to be truly grateful.

Adding Everly to our holiday fun this year has also been such a joy. Her constant smile lights up every room in our home. She is happy to just be. We are so blessed to be her parents! Everly got a few new toys and books and a really cute ducky washcloth that she loves. We made sure that Santa also wrapped up a blanket for Everly to open upon Aliyah's request.

When we went to visit Santa this year, Aliyah understood that she was supposed to tell him what gifts she wanted for Christmas. She walked right up to Santa, stood in front of him and listed off everything she wanted him to bring for her whole family. She then said, "ok?" and started to walk off. She meant business. We asked if she wanted to take a picture with him and she was happy to jump on his lap with her sister.

Two girls. Two smiles.
Just a few week before Christmas, we went out to dinner with old friends and when one of them asked Aliyah if Santa was coming to her house, she furrowed her eyebrows and then laughed. "Noooooooo. We already saw him. He not come to our house!" OOPS! I guess I was so focused on our visit with Santa, I didn't really explain that he brings those gifts you ask for to our house.

She had fun setting out cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer Christmas eve. A very generous family friend passed on their cozy coupe car to the girls for Christmas. Aliyah was SO excited to see it next to the tree when she woke up. We are so thankful that Santa was able to deliver the car to our house. It has been Aliyah's favorite thing to play with.
She has been running to work, school and the store in her new red car. She has even taken Everly with her to go on her errands. Thank You Weinands!!

Our camera broke, so I didn't get very many (or very good) pictures of the girls on Christmas, which was a bummer. We have a new camera now, and I cannot wait to fill up the memory card with pictures!

Here are the girls with their stockings Christmas morning:

Later that day, we got caught under the mistletoe:
And Aliyah and Tyler decorated cookies:
Our year ended with a quiet night at our home snuggling on the couch and watching movies together. 2012 brought us another amazing little girl - the highlight of our year - and we couldn't be more thankful for the love and support that continues to surround us.

Wishing you and your family a healthy and happy New Year!!
