Everly Jean turned 6 months old one week ago from today... the day before Valentine's Day. It seems so strange to be typing "6 months old " already! Keep growing sweet girl.
You are now drinking water through a straw! We don't let you have too much yet, but you love being up at the table with us and sneaking a sip or two from our water glasses. Aliyah loves to share her water with you and makes sure that you get to "try" her water at every meal.
You are so close to crawling!! You get up on your hands and knees and rock a little back and forth. You are just as proud of yourself as we are!
No teeth yet. We are doing BLW (baby led weening) and gave you a chunk of banana to try last week. You liked playing with it and thought it was pretty funny but I don't think much actually got eaten - that is ok!! BLW is all about exploring your food and you are safe to do so since you are still getting all the nutrition that you need.
We are all convinced that you can sign "MILK" now too!! You are an amazing girl and it has been such an honor to watch you grow. Our hearts are filled with joy and gratitude to have you a part of this family.
From the first moment we laid eyes on one another I promised to protect you with the fierceness of a lion and the vigilance of a mighty army. We love you more and more every day!
